On 15th July 2022, the Data and Information Sciences Research Lab at NM-AIST was very grateful to welcome Prof Neil Lawrence and his students from the University of Cambridge, various issues related to data science and machine learning research were discussed for the aim of strengthening the capacity on developing end-to-end solutions in Africa
UNESCO World Higher Education Conference in Barcelona, Spain
In May 2022, I had an opportunity to attend UNESCO World Higher Education Conference in Barcelona, Spain. In this conference, I was privileged to give a HED Talk and join an insightful panel discussion with the experts and like minded leaders on the issues of equity, inclusion and pluralism in higher education.
Sensitization Event at Kilakala Secondary School
In April 2022, we visited our former school Kilakala Secondary and donated 20 computers to help students learn Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Welcoming New Members of NM-AIST AI Community
On 24th March 2022, I was delighted to welcome new members of AI community at NM-AIST. We had interactive discussions on various AI initiatives and opportunities i.e. Data Science Africa (DSA), Deep Learning Indaba (DLI), Black in AI (BAI), Women in Machine Learning (WiML) etc. I’ve also encouraged them to apply for DLI in Tunisia and Junior researchers award
